THE STORY OF  Wilshire United Methodist Church goes hand-in-hand with the growth of Los Angeles.
The city's population totaled less
than 300,000 when our predecessors founded the Hobart Methodist Church in 1907.

Our proximity to Hollywood continues to generate fascinating stories.
17-year old Shirley Temple's wedding was officiated here in 1945.

Real-Time Family –-- this is not a church about staged performances. We're about authentic, meaningful Christian relationships.

Celebrative Diversity --– we love that our congregations reflect the diversity of L.A.
We are a mosaic of the Lord's creative genius.

Size Small --– we are intentional about not supersizing the Christian faith. There's nothing fastfood with adoring Jesus.

Global Leadership -- we are "ONE" church.
We celebrate our diversity within five different language congregations:

English Congregation - Sunday worship from
10:00-11:15 am in the main sanctuary.

Filipino Congregation - Sunday worship from 8:30-10:00 am, downstairs in Lee Hall.

Hispanic Congregation - Sunday worship from 9:30-11:00 am in the Ritter Chapel.

Korean Congregation - Sunday worship from
8:00-9:30 am and 12:00-1:30 pm.
in the main sanctuary

Korean-American "Journey of Faith" Congregation English-speaking Sunday worship from
2:00-3:30 pm downstairs in Lee Hall.
