Dr. Gwendolyn Wyatt brings extensive gifts, training and experiences to Wilshire as our Music Administrator. Her degrees include a B.S. in Music Education from the University of North Dakota; M.A. from Cal State University, Los Angeles; and a D.M.A. from Claremont Graduate University with a major invocal performance and a minor in theology from Claremont School of Theology in 1997.
Dr. Wyatt has served Methodist, Baptist, COGIC and Calvinist denominations in various roles. She has performed with jubilee choirs, Capitol recording artists, opera/symphony orchestras, recently at the Disney Theater; and Celebrate Gospel! at Disney Resort in 2010. She has trained choirs and conducted for combined performances with the LA Philharmonic and at Carnegie Hall. Though she conducted sacred master works in four continents, she distinguishes herself as an interpreter of traditional spirituals, as coached by the American icon, Jester Hairston, and enjoys praising the Lord through music.
